The Shoot

A little nervous but mostly excited, I set off to a photo shoot to style an up and coming local artist, Laura B, for her album cover.  Besides her amazing talent, which speaks for itself, Laura is a natural beauty making my job as her stylist all the easier.  Thank you Laura for a fun experience.  Not to hype myself up or anything, lol, but I did the posing in addition to wardrobe.  Here are some pics (from my Iphone, sorry!) Enjoy!

Laura is wearing a gold Kenneth Jay Lane chain bracelet (Gilt.com), top by French Connection, shorts by H&M.

Dress by Geren Ford (shopbop.com), Earrings and bracelet (which can't see very well in this pic) by Low Luv x Erin Wasson (shopthetrendboutique.com)

Can't wait to do it again, hope you like!

Currently in love with: THE SOUTHWEST!

So I’ve been busy jettsetting this summer, you know attending concerts and what not…ha ha j/k well kinda. Lol.  The Rihanna concert was awesome, and of course my outfit of choice was pretty amazing too ;) check it out for yourself below.

Back to the subject at hand, the Southwest! I’ve fallen in love with Santa Fe patterns and all things Native American, which also includes animals and animal patterns.  I can’t tell you how excited I am that one of my favorite brands, Wildfox Couture, got it just right with these pieces:

Torn by Ronny Kobo (another long time fav of mine) is also a great go to brand for this look.

Don’t be afraid to try this look, I promise you’ll be chic no matter how you wear it.  As always, enjoy!

CASUAL CHICa

One of my most favorite looks is a simple casual yet super chic outfit.  That’s what I strive for when I go out and about, and best believe I will be rock’n this look all summer.  Below are some of my hearts that exude Casual Chic.  As you can see, they are nothing spectacular but what makes these pieces stand out is the combination of simple knit fabric with the tailoring and extra detail, such as the cut out shoulders in the tops or the asymmetrical gathering on the dress.  Super <3 these looks!

                                                 I think I might, yeah I think I just might…

Spring-Mother, may I?

One of the first things I think about when putting together an outfit is Mother Nature.  Weather is the foundation for a great outfit…so say what you will about SLC, but one thing I truly love about my lil city is the fact that I get to experience all four seasons.  I love them all and especially love the fashion that comes with each.

With Fall (my fav fashion season!) comes opportunity to show your laying skills, whether it be with a great scarf or a leather jacket and you can’t forget the oversized sweater, and last but not least…hello, boot season! Best part of all, these fall pieces can easily be transitioned to winter weather.  Winter is one of the comfiest seasons in that you can stay warm, cozy and chic just by investing in a nice winter boot and coat.  Throw on a beanie and you’re an instant snow bunny J

And aah yes, Spring/Summer! As soon as I see those lil hints of spring and warm weather, I’m instantly revived and suddenly I have a strong motivation to freshen my life and make everything around me beautiful.  I suddenly can’t wait to deep clean my home and my car and of course get fresh myself! Even though the weather has been anything but warm, I’ve totally got the hots for these pieces shown below and I can’t wait for Mother Nature to give me the go ahead ;)

Men, I didn’t forget about you, below are some of my spring/summer picks for you too.

Love these gray jeans.  Dress em up or dress em down, either way you'll catch her eye ;)

 Partna let me upgrade you...lol

Perfect Spring/Summer T!

All these styles can be mimicked to fit your budget by the way, enjoy!

Welcome to The Debut of My Much Anticipated Fashion Blog ; )

When it comes to fashion, one word comes to mind--Appropriate-- and if you can achieve this, you will forever be voguish.

Say what? What does 'appropriate' even mean? It's subjective... Umm, no actually its not.  I believe one should always be dressed in an outfit befitting (Ha! No pun intended--okay that was a lame joke) of whatever the event/activity may be.  No matter the occasion or plan you make from the gym to a hot date, from dinner with the fam/friends to the upcoming Rihanna concert.  If you are suitably dressed, trust me, you will stand out (and in a good way).  Have no sense of appropriateness? Well that's what I'm here for.  I hope you all enjoy and come to share my passion for fashion! (Ha, lame again! I'm such a dork, but a well dressed one!) lol

Stay tuned!
